Gold-Filled : 14/20 ( or 1/20th 14 Karat) gold-filled overlay, is made by heat and pressure-bonding a layer of gold to a brass core. The 1/20 notation refers to the ratio of the14 karat gold layer to the brassware by weight, which is five percent. The value of gold filled is greater than gold plated because gold filled has an actual layer, not just a microscopic film a, of karat gold. Gold filled jewelry is economical. You enjoy the rich look and feel of gold at a fraction of the cost. |
14k Gold : Although our solid 14k yellow gold bracelets are more expensive, they are fine pieces of jewelry that will last as heirloom jewelry for generations to come. |
